White Wall is an automotive restoration and body shop concept with an exclusive focus on classic and luxury vehicles.
Born in a logo design course in my early college career, White Wall Auto was one of my first exercises in reconciling my passion for design with my love for classic cars.
I decided to create a brand that embodies the finest elements of vintage automotive – sparkling chrome, stylish lettering, extravagant features & artful finishes, the iconic whitewall tire – and also celebrates the skilled tradespeople & dedicated enthusiasts that keep the passion for classic automotive alive.
ORIGINAL
The original logo designs had the right feel, but looked unfinished. The typographic logo was relatively solid, but lacked precision; and the winged tire symbol was eye-catching, but vague.
REDESIGN
A high-end restoration shop like White Wall Auto needed their identity to be as carefully-engineered as the vehicles they serviced – so after a few more years of skill development, I gave the logo concepts a well-deserved cut & polish.
